Increasing Sales and Decreasing the Bounce Rate

The Realnet  Development Team have been working closely with the Masters Direct staff over the last few months to enhance the site that was designed and built by Realnet last year. Now in its final stages, there have been a few more improvements made to the site in the final stage that have made a drastic difference to the statistics with a 60% increase in sales on the first day of going live and a 20% fall in the bounce rate.

This goes to show that with a few adjustments your website can keep on performing better than ever.

Many options were considered before each phase of development were completed and Masters’ knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry coupled with Realnet’s expertise in web design and usability has led to a very user friendly and manageable way for consumers to access Masters Direct products online. The process has been completed in phases and is based around the feedback they have received and the user experience. Some of the more notable improvements are detailed below.

There have been a number of improvements to increase the ease of online shopping and to encourage the consumer to spend more. The introduction of a live basket removes the need to be directed to a different page after every product selection and also makes the consumer more likely to view and buy other products.

There have been several changes to the way in which the search function of the website has been updated. The system now recognises mis-spellings and also gives a list of product suggestions as the words are typed in and also has an integrated search bar.

Incorporated within the search is also a powerful filtering system allowing for further ease of use. Once a product is viewed in more detail there are also more recommendations in the form of featuring a ‘customers who viewed this also viewed’ section. An advanced discount system has also been introduced at the checkout phase.

In the back end development, the site has been tidied up visually and the coding behind the website has been made more modular and therefore easier to use in future developments

Realnet is continuing to handle the Google Analytics side of the Masters Direct website with continual input from staff at Masters to emphasise certain products and maintain high sales.

    We have been working closely with Realnet throughout last year and with their help, we have been able to develop a brand new site, full of innovative design and a new layout that seems to be perfect for the online market, considering the impact it has had on our sales this month!
